Operations

Custom Shopify Application

Commission tracking is one of those things that should feel simple - but rarely does. Before PayCalc, the process was manual, error-prone, and surprisingly emotional. Sales reps didnt know what they were owed. Managers double-checked spreadsheets late into the night. We werent just solving a math problem - we were addressing a trust issue. PayCalc had to be more than functional. It had to feel calm, immediate, and unquestionably correct.

We didnt jump into code. We started by talking - with sales associates, with operations, with leadership. What emerged were themes: lack of visibility, slow communication, and a general sense of disconnect. From those conversations, we sketched a different kind of system - one that didnt just calculate commissions, but made people feel seen. Wireframes evolved into Figma prototypes, where we refined not just layout, but tone.

We custom coded the app and it is now complete and running on multiple Shopify stores. Every interaction was reduced to its essence. The result wasnt flashy. It just workedand thats what made it beautiful.
